The Summit Inn is a historic hotel built in 1892 by a widow with eight children, with 10 rooms and a dining room where she served a full breakfast.

Dan & Marcene Littledike bought the building in 1989 and renovated the front into a pizza and ice cream parlor. They are celebrating their 28th year in business in this landmark location.

Dan has over 40 years of pizza experience. He started out with Godfathers Pizza in the late 70s and after opening stores in Utah and Washington State was promoted to "National Franchise Service Representative". He also contributed as a member of the "Research and Development task force" inventing and implementing new recipes for the chain.

Dan wanted to create a flavorful, memorable experience for locals and tourists alike. Fresh ingredients, pleasant service and a warm atmosphere help to melt the stress away and satisfy the soul. The business draws patrons from Summit and Wasatch County, as well as the Wasatch front seasonal cabin owners.

Dan and Marcene researched all their own recipes from scratch. Ten years went into the dough and sauce development before the store ever opened. Since winning the "Best of State", "Best Family Pizza" 2010 through 2016, we have worked to continue the tradition by creating more items to tantalize your taste buds. We hope you enjoy testing our mouth watering, satisfying recipes.

The Summit Inn Pizza has developed a reputation of quality and value in this community which is labeled "The Gateway to the Uintas". Superior quality is achieved through "old time" methods. The dough is made daily from scratch, not by using a frozen hockey puck dough like object which comes out of the freezer made by some factory in the Mid West, which is what many of the national chains use. Making the dough fresh allows us to compensate for changes in the temperature humidity and holding times, giving our customers a unique consistent experience.

Our sauce is also made daily with our own formula. Our customers mention on a daily basis that they can taste the difference between our product and the many national chains that are bidding for the consumer’s dollar. Besides the fact that we have priced our product to be the best value in Summit, Wasatch and now Utah County, we have worked hard to make sure it the best tasting.

We believe in supporting our local schools. The Summit Inn offers a free Mini 8" pizza to the children who finish their reading goal. The pizzas are awarded at the end of each term. The teachers have mentioned that it is a great carrot to dangle in front of the kids to help them finish their reading. When we started the program 18 years ago, we gave out approximately 600 reading pizzas a year. With the growth in our schools, it has caused us to increase our contribution. Last year we awarded over 2000 pizzas. It has been a privilege to contribute to our childrens development. In turn we have made many friends who frequent us.

We have also supported many local organizations: Kamas City South Summit Senior Citizens, Summit County Sheriff’s office, Search and Rescue teams, Firefighters, Utah Civil Air Patrol, and many other service causes and local fund raisers.

Through the years we have enjoyed providing employment for the best youth anywhere. Most of our staff have worked at least 2 years while they were in High School. Many have returned during their college breaks and holidays to stretch some pizza dough. We feel Summit Inn Pizza has become a mainstay for the community.
